Hazard
The product presents a serious risk of fire as it has insufficient creepage and clearance distances between the circuits, the insulation is insufficient, the supply cord is undersized and internal mains wiring was not adequately secured. Additionally, the fuse had not been supplied with any granular filler, which is required to ensure the safe operation of the fuse under fault conditions. Improvements are also required to marking, labelling and documentation.
The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016 or the Plugs & Sockets etc. (Safety) Regulations 1994.
Corrective action
The import has been rejected at the border.
