Hazard

The product presents a serious chemical risk as the plastic cover martial on the handles contains an excessive amount of bis(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP) (measured values up to 22.26% by weight). This phthalate may harm the health of children, causing possible damage to their reproductive system. The scooter poses a potential ejection hazard if it hits an object as the diameter of the toy scooter shall be 120mm or greater. The left wheel diameter was measured to be 118.72mm and the right wheel diameter is 118.93mm.

The product does not comply with the REACH regulations and the Toys (Safety) Regulations 2011.

Corrective action

The product’s hand grips have been replaced to bring the product back into conformity.
