Hazard
The product presents a serious risk of electric shock as the plug does not comply with BS1363. The plug was supplied with a separate 3 pin travel adapter which did not meet the minimum dimensional requirements. The pins on the sample were too close to the periphery and did not contain all the necessary markings/labelling. A user may consequently access live parts when plugging in, or unplugging, the product from an electrical socket and may receive an electric shock.
The product does not meet the requirements of the Plugs & Sockets (Safety) Regulations 1994.
Corrective action
Import rejected at the border and destroyed.
