Hazard
The products present an injury risk as the aluminium shim may leave indentations on the fork steerer tube. Over time, these indentations could develop into cracks. This could cause the fork to fail during use, potentially leading to injuries.
The products do not meet the requirements of the General Product Safety Regulations 2005.
Corrective action
Modification programme.
Owners of the bikes should stop using it immediately and contact an authorised Lapierre dealer. The dealer will check if your bike is affected and if so, replace the fork.
