Hazard

The hooded infant sleeping bag presents a serious risk of suffocation. The presence of a hood increases the likelihood that, during normal sleep movements, the hood may cover the baby’s nose and mouth, obstructing the airway. Additionally, the neck opening is secured with inappropriate fasteners and there are no arm holes, which may allow the baby to slip further into the sleeping bag, increasing the risk of the head becoming fully covered. Improvements are also required to safety information and warnings.

The product does not meet the requirements of the General Product Safety Regulations 2005.

Corrective action

The product has been withdrawn from the market by the distributor, Little Jax
