Hazard

The products present a serious chemical risk as they contain excess heavy metals. The earrings contain lead and nickel content that is greater than the maximum permissible limit. The hand chain and bangle contain nickel that is greater than the maximum permissible limit.

Nickel is a sensitiser and can cause allergic reactions if present in products that come into direct and prolonged contact with the skin. Exposure to lead may cause a wide range of adverse effects, including damage to the kidneys, the circulatory system, and the developing brain. The unborn child and young children are at greater risk to lead exposure.
