The kettle is only affected if it says “MAX 1.5 L” or has a maximum capacity of “10” cups. Affected products were sold by retailers including Currys, Fenwicks, House of Fraser, Selfridges and Robert Dyas.

Hazard

The products present a risk of burns as the handles may loosen or break off entirely during use. This may cause hot water to spill from the kettle, creating a risk of scalding injuries to the user or bystanders in the immediate area, including small children.

The products do not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016.
