Hazard
The product presents a serious chemical risk as it contains butylphenyl methylpropional (BMHCA/lilial), which is prohibited in cosmetic products. BMHCA may harm the reproductive system, may harm the health of the unborn child, and may cause skin sensitisation.
The product does not meet the requirements of Regulation (EC) 1223/2009 or the Cosmetic Products Enforcement Regulations 2013.
Corrective action
The products have been recalled from end users by the manufacturer. Affected products have been withdrawn from sale by Farmfoods.
Owners of any of the affected products should stop using it immediately and return the product to the seller they purchased from for a full refund.
