Hazard
The product presents a risk of injuries as the retractor may not lock as designed. This could lead to the wheelchair moving during transit and injuring the user.
The product does not meet the requirements of the General Product Safety Regulations 2005.
Corrective action
The product has been recalled from end users.
Users are advised that they may continue to use the retractor while awaiting replacement, providing a pre-trip inspection is performed to assure that the product is fully locked. Product distributors have been notified and will inspect and replace affected retractors free of charge.
