Hazard
Due to the incorrect tightening of screws, the touchscreen on the treadmill can detach and fall, posing a risk of injury to consumers should it fall while the product is in use leading the consumer to trip and fall.
The product does not meet the requirements of the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008.
Corrective action
Peloton have issued a safety notice, including details for free repair or return and refund for users. Users should stop using their Tread treadmill and ensure no one else uses it until the product is repaired or returned.
