Hazard
The product presents a serious risk of choking, as due to the characteristic form, appearance, colour and size, it may be mistaken for a foodstuff by young children or vulnerable users. The product has small parts that can be easily detached. A small child/vulnerable user may put these parts in the mouth and choke.
The product does not meet the requirements of Regulation (EC) 1223/2009 (the ‘Cosmetics Regulation’) or the Food Imitations (Safety) Regulations 1989.
Corrective action
The local authority has required that the product is withdrawn from the market and recalled by the wholesaler, AW Aromatics Limited (“Ancient Wisdom”). Owners are advised to stop using the product and keep it away from children. Contact the retailer/supplier for a replacement or refund.
