You can no longer pay online for documents to prove you’re allowed to get married abroad. You’ll need to pay in person at the British high commission, embassy or consulate that’s nearest to where you’re getting married.
You normally have to pay fees for consular services in the local currency.
You can only get certificates for marriage abroad from the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) if:
- you’ve found out what you need to do to get married abroad
- you need a certificate of no impediment or Nulla Osta
- you’ve been told you need to get this from the FCO
