You must register with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) to practice as an orthotist in the UK.

You can only call yourself an orthotist if you’re registered with the HCPC.

You could be fined up to £5,000 if you call yourself an orthotist and you’re not registered with the HCPC.
