If you wish to carry out reserved legal activities as a legal executive you must be authorised.

A reserved legal activity is one of the following:

  • exercising a right of audience
  • conducting litigation
  • reserved instrument, probate or notarial activities
  • administering oaths

Authorisation is obtained from the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives (CILEX).
