The answer to these and many other similar questions can be found in up-to-date monthly statistics that the oil companies are required by law to provide to the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy (BEIS) - who were known previously as the Dept for Energy & Climate Change (DECC). These are incorporated into the Digest of UK Energy Statistics or DUKES and can be accessed through the following link:

HMRC also publish a monthly bulletin that provide a full historic series detailing amounts of petrol, diesel, and other types of fuels that are used, produced or imported into the UK, and the amount of duty collected. This information is provided on a monthly, calendar and financial year basis and is available through the following link:
