Non-Residents Working on the UK Continental Shelf: Notification of Payments to Third Parties - Summary of information requested in a Data-holder Notice
Data-holders are sent an annual data-holder notice notifying them that they have to complete a form 850. All forms are to be completed in electronic format and data-holders need to contact HMRC following receipt of the data-holder notice to obtain an electronic version of the form. The form is an Excel workbook and consists of four sheets: a cover sheet, Specification Notes, Part 1 and Part 2.
The cover sheet asks for the company name and a signature.
The Specification Notes sheet provides details of the standard format that must be used for each of the fields in Part 1 and Part 2.
Part 1 requests full details of all direct payments made to non-resident contractors and sub-contractors during the period.
Part 2 requests information about individuals working for the operator. It is intended that users of Vantage POB will provide this data by way of a report from the Vantage system. Details of how to access the Vantage report facility are provided with the data-holder notice.
