Employment Rights Act 2025

The Employment Rights Bill was introduced to Parliament on 10 October 2024. It received Royal Assent on 18 December 2025 and is now the Employment Rights Act 2025 (ERA). It was introduced as part of the government's plan to "Make Work Pay" and allowed the introduction of the Fair Work Agency.

The provisions of the ERA came into force 7 April 2026. Part 5 of the ERA covers National Minimum Wage within the enforcement of labour market legislation. Schedule 10 details consequential amendments relating to part 5.
