MLR3C3300 - How our supervision is organised: The MLR Policy Team
Our MLR Policy Team is responsible for:
- Providing legal and technical advice
- Producing technical guidance for external customers
- Answering more complex policy questions
- Developing registration policy
- Considering our response to serious breaches of the Regulations
- Liaising with the National Excise Review and Appeals Team (NERAT)
- Handling complaints from customers
- Producing training material for external customers
- Developing strong links with our external customers, their trade associations and professional bodies within the individual sectors
- Consulting with internal and external customers, trade associations and professional bodies over changes in policy and legislation
- Liaising with other supervisors to share good practice and respond to changes in legislation and HMT policy
