To request an ICE report

All ICE search requests are made using the mandatory SEES request form which can be accessed by any LC ICE user but, in the main they will select for caseworkers sharing the same location. We always recommend that caseworkers liaise closely with the ICE user to discuss the search requirements perhaps even sitting with the ICE user while they undertake the search. This helps the ICE user to focus the search and avoid the ICE reports becoming too unwieldy with unnecessary or irrelevant data.

Instructions to request an ICE report via SEES

New centralised audit trail processes have been implemented regarding ICE. These procedures state they must be complied with, failure to do so will result in the removal of any Licences.

Any searches/request you have should now be made through SEES, this is not optional.

Once searches have been carried out and placed into your CAF’s, the system will now generate a generic email to inform you of this. Additionally, it will state that you will need to complete a further SEES form for Feedback within 30 days of receipt of the report.

Stage 1

To find the new request form in excel, go to SEES > Other Calcs + Forms >ICE Request Form

Stage 2

Complete relevant data, most of which is self-explanatory. You will also need to identify the details of where you require the converted excel report to be placed using the browse facility.

The boxes are limited for information to be given, the last box headed ‘Reason for request and any additional info’, as best practice please include any additional info i.e. any known addresses, date of births, or additional associated persons you wish to be researched.

Input the Preferred ICE Operator (especially important if you wish VAT ICE searched as there may only be 1 license in the area)

When all info has been input, click the ‘Send Form’ button.

Once done, as best practice send a quick email to your designated ICE caseworker to let them know a request is in, as the request folder may not be monitored on a regular basis.

Stage 3

Once the ICE operator has selected your request an auto generated email will be sent, advising you of a unique ICE Case ID, and advising you, you must submit feedback via SEES within 30 days. The feedback form is also selected through SEES >  Other Calcs + Forms >ICE Feedback Form
