Disclosure to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) for the purpose of the discharge of the ICO’s functions is permitted by s131 of the Data Protection Act 2018 and UK GDPR Article 58.

The ICO is a competent authority for law enforcement purposes.

the Office of the Data Protection Officer (ODPO) acts as the liaison lead between HMRC and the ICO, however FIS and CSIR also liaise with the ICO as well.
