ECSH82635 - Administration charges and multiple penalties

decision maker (DM) may encounter a situation where multiple penalties are to be imposed on the same business/individual.  Multiple penalties will affect how the DM issues the penalty notices and applies the administration charge (admin charge).

Issuing penalty notices

The DM must issue a separate penalty notice for each penalty charged. This allows the business/individual to respond and make representations to each penalty notice independently. This is important if the business/individual for example, accepts one penalty notice and wants to pay promptly (to obtain an early payment reduction) but appeals another penalty notice.
