ECSH48584 - Cancellation and suspension of registration: operational guidance: cancelling or suspending money transmitters - contacting the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA)

The FCA must be informed when the application of a Money Service Business (MSB) that provides money transmission services is suspended or cancelled.

Notice to suspend

When you issue a notice to suspend to a business, you should also inform the FCA of your decision by sending an email

attaching a copy of the notice, and request that the FCA is notified of HMRC’s decision to suspend the business’ registration.

Should the business meet the requirements for the suspension to be lifted, you should send a further email to the EC-S information gateway mailbox advising that the suspension has been lifted.

If the business does not meet the requirements for the suspension to be lifted, you must advise the FCA of any further suspension or cancellation you impose on the business by sending an email
