Control: alterations made on movement certifications
- can only be made by crossing out the incorrect information and, if necessary, inserting the correct information, and
- must be initialled by the signatory to the form. If the signatory is not available, it may exceptionally be initialled by any representative of the principal or agent provided it is evident (eg by reference to commercial documents) that the amendment corrects an obvious mistake and does not affect the liability of any goods as regards customs etc charges.
You should counter stamp the alteration with the normal stamp used for authorising the certificate.
Note: Tippex or correction fluid etc must not be used.
