Debt and return pursuit: foreign cases: Mutual Assistance in the Recovery of Debt (MARD) (Social Security Debts): requests for notification sent to other countries

General

A request for notification should be made using an R015. A request may be made by either the International Debt Unit, MARD team or DM Birmingham.

Sending a request

  • Prepare the request for notification form R015 in accordance with the EU guidelines.
  • (This content has been withheld because of exemptions in the Freedom of Information Act 2000)
  • Send the R015, together with the documents to be notified to the requested country by post.
  • BF the case for two months.

If you haven’t received a response from the other country when the BF expires, send them an H001, together with a copy of the original R015, and ask for an update.

Document service successful

The requested country will tell you how and when the documents where notified on an R016 or equivalent. On receipt review the response to consider your next action. Close your MARD case if appropriate.

Document service unsuccessful

If the requested country is unable to notify the documents, they will tell you why the documents couldn’t be notified on an R016 or equivalent. On receipt review the response to consider your next action. Close your MARD case if appropriate.
