Payments: quarterly instalment payments: functions

The table below tells you the function or functions to use in particular situations.

For details of how to access any of the COTAX functions select Index of Functions in the left of the screen.

Situation Function
To see a list of cases where the ‘credit / debit interest’ inhibit is set to ‘Y’. CDIW (Credit / Debit Interest Work List)
To see a list of cases where the ‘charge interest inhibit’ indicator is set to ‘Y’. CIIW (Charge Interest Work List)
To calculate credit / debit /charge interest on notional amounts and dates. CINT (Compute Interest)
To see the value of the ‘quarterly payer’ signal. DAPD (Display AP Details)
To view any credit / debit interest accrued at the AP normal due date and accrued charge interest on an AP. DINT (Display Interest Computation)
To amend or see the value of the ‘quarterly payer’ signal and to set the:  
  • ‘credit / debit interest’ indicator
  • ‘clerical interest’ indicator. MAPS (Maintain AP Signals)
      To see a work list of cases where:
  • the ‘quarterly payer’ signal is set to ‘Y’ or ‘N’ following the capture of a CT600 but COTAX processing calculates the opposite signal to be appropriate
  • the ‘QIP’ signal was ‘P’ and is set to ‘N’ following the capture of a CT600
  • a return is unlogged for an AP which has the ‘QIP’ signal set to ‘Y’
  • a new, unlinked superseded CTSA AP is created. QPRW (Quarterly Payer Review List)
      To set the:
  • ‘credit / debit interest’ indicator
  • ‘QIP’ signal to ‘P’ or ‘N’ for the purpose of issuing or preventing the issue of QIP payslips. RAPP (Revise AP Pursuit)  
      To reallocate a payment off the company’s COTAX record. REOD (Reallocation Out Of COTAX)
      To raise a manual credit / debit / charge interest charge. RMIC (Raise Manual Interest Charge)
      To view for the AP, suspense or group payment record:  
  • a summary of the payment position
  • details on individual payments and other accounting postings. VPPD (View Payment and Posting Details)
