Status Of A Repayment

A status of a repayment can be one of the following

Status
Meaning and Notes
Risks Apply - Unauthorised
COTAX has selected the case for a security check and Function PRKR (Provide Risk Response) has not yet been used COTAX will not issue the repayment until the Repayment Authoriser releases it The computer does not issue a payable order when the amount to be repaid is more than £150,000
Risks Apply - Authorised
The Repayment Authoriser authorised the repayment today When the computer batch process runs overnight the computer will select the case and process the repayment This status is displayed for both BACS and Payable Order type repayments
Awaiting Manual Issue
The repayment has been authorised but Function MIPO (Manual Issue of Payable Order) has not yet been used Manual payable orders should only be issued for large repayments over £150,000. The Repayment / Reallocation Authoriser will process them
Transferred to Repayments
COTAX or the Repayment / Reallocation Authoriser has authorised the repayment and the computer is processing it
Authorised Automatically
The repayment does not meet the selection criteria for authorisation checks so the computer has automatically authorised the repayment

Repayment Issued or

Manual repayment Issued

The computer has issued the repayment automatically or the District Office issued it manually
Payable Order Cancelled
An operator has used Function CNPO (Cancel Payable Order) to cancel a payable order
Rejected BACS
A BACS repayment has been cancelled
