Child Benefit and Tax Credits: Information Provided - No Adjustment Required

If the information shows the tax credit and Child Benefit claim to be correct you should issue one of the following letters:

  • for tax credit enquiries, use the standard letter template TCC5 at CCM21445 selecting “Tax Credit award and Child Benefit claim” from the first drop-down box
  • for post award tax credit examinations including an unprocessed CoC, use TCC21, see CCM21235 
  • for post award tax credit examinations use the letter at CCM21630 replacing the first paragraph with the paragraph below in the letter you send to the child benefit claimant
  • for post award tax credit examinations including a processed CoC use the letter at CCM21630 replacing the first paragraph by paragraph below in the letter you send to the child benefit claimant.

“The additional information that [you] [your partner] [your agent] have/has provided has enabled me to complete my examination into your claim for tax credits for [CCYY/YY] and child benefit. I am pleased to tell you that no amendment to the award of tax credits or decision to your claim to child benefit is needed as a result of my examination.”
