Compensation: displaced tenants: agricultural tenancies: wasting asset

An agricultural tenancy in England and Wales which is covered by AHA 1986, see CG72380, should be treated as a wasting asset when the tenant’s life expectancy becomes less than 50 years. If you consider that this is likely to be the case, you should seek advice from the Board’s Actuarial Officer as to the predictable life expectancy of the tenant.

The address of the Board’s Actuarial Officer is: -

Specialist PT - Actuarial
Ferrers House
Castle Meadow Road

Telephone number 0115 974 2950 or (for the Assistant to the Board’s Actuarial Officer) 0115 974 2939.
