Authorisation of Guaranteeing Associations (Istanbul Convention Annex A Article 4)

In the UK, authorised Chambers of Commerce and Industry issue ATA carnets.

A list of the other contracting parties to the Conventions and their issuing and guaranteeing associations can be found in ATACPD19000.

The Chambers charge a fee for the carnet and generally will require a guarantee against any potential duty liability.

ATA Carnets issued in another Member State are valid in the UK and can be treated like those issued by the UK Chambers of Commerce.
