TechFirst AI Apprenticeship Pathway
Supporting young people into local tech apprenticeships.
The TechFirst AI Apprenticeship Pathway helps young people develop AI and digital skills and progress into apprenticeships with local employers. It is designed for young people who may be at risk of leaving education without moving directly into work, training or further study.
The programme combines training in AI and digital technologies with workplace skills, helping young people build the confidence and experience needed to start a career in the technology sector. They learn how AI is used in the workplace, gain practical digital skills, and develop the communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills employers look for. Following this training, participants are supported to apply for Level 3 digital apprenticeship opportunities with local employers.
The pathway is currently being piloted in North West England, delivered by TechFirst’s Regional Delivery Partner, IN4 Group. Lessons from the pilot will inform the future development of the programme.
