The Office of Rail and Road (ORR) is the independent regulator responsible for both the health and safety and economic regulation of the railway sector.

We are also the independent monitor of the strategic road network in England, which consists of the motorways and the main A roads.

The Legal Services Directorate is a highly regarded team of 9 lawyers and 2 support staff from a mixture of Civil Service and private practice backgrounds.

We currently have one vacancy at Legal Adviser level. This vacancy has arisen because of internal promotions.

We like to expose our lawyers to a wide range of diverse and demanding work and as such these posts will cover a mix of European and economic regulation, licensing, consumer protection, commercial agreements, competition and safety policy.

For further information on the post and to apply, please visit the Civil Service Jobs Website.
