What happens after you have submitted the online report of an adverse event to an animal medicine.

Acknowledgements are not provided for paper forms that are submitted to the VMD.
The VMD does not contact reporters with individual updates on their adverse event reports. We will only contact you for the purpose of gathering further data regarding an adverse event report you have submitted.
The VMD may send an adverse event report submitted via this system to the MAHs who are responsible for the veterinary medicinal products involved. Details of the reporter are anonymised. Sharing this data supports safety monitoring activities. Where sharing of reports with personal data is required in order to fulfil our public responsibility, this will be done in line with UK GDPR requirements.
