Guidance on making an Unduly Lenient Sentence scheme request

This guidance explains what you should know about the Unduly Lenient Sentence (ULS) scheme before making a request.

Applies to England and Wales

If you think someone’s Crown Court sentence is too low, you can ask the Attorney General’s Office to review it through the Unduly Lenient Sentence scheme.

The guidance below outlines what you need to know about the scheme, what you do not need and why you need to act within 28 days after sentencing.
