Registering your forecourts
How to register and manage your forecourts.
Registration information is submitted through the Fuel Finder service.
You can choose to enter the details manually, one forecourt at a time, or in bulk, by uploading an Excel file.
You can add each forecourt by manually entering your data. This is the simplest way to register your forecourts.
-
Go to ‘Register your forecourts’ and select the manual option.
-
You’ll need to answer a series of questions broken down by category. The categories include:
– business details
– opening times and forecourt availability
– contacts
– fuel grades
– amenities and facilities -
You can click ‘Save as draft’ at any time if you need to come back and complete the registration later.
-
Click ‘Save this forecourt’ when all the categories are complete.
-
Go to ‘Your forecourts’ and select the relevant forecourt.
-
On the ‘Manage your forecourt’ page, click on the category of information that needs to be updated.
-
Click ‘Change’ to update the value and ‘Continue’ to move to the next value in the category.
-
When all the relevant details have been updated, click ‘Save this forecourt’ to submit your changes.
You can bulk register your forecourts in one go by uploading an Excel file (XLS or XLSX):
-
Go to ‘Register your forecourts’ and select the Excel file option.
-
Download and complete the Excel template. Make sure your file:
– follows the template
– is in XLS or XLSX format
– is under 2 MB
– is not password protected
– contains no errors (for example, missing station name, invalid postcode, non-numeric prices), all error types are mentioned in the Excel template. -
Select ‘Choose file’ and pick the file you want to add, or drag and drop it.
-
Select ‘Upload Excel file’.
-
If your upload is successful, the service will confirm the number of forecourts uploaded and provide a list of forecourt names and postcodes. You can page-through this list to check it.
-
Select ‘Continue’ or if you spot an error or omission select ‘Reupload file’.
When you register your forecourts in bulk, the service adds Fuel Finder forecourt IDs to your file. Use this file as your template for future changes.
To update existing details for a forecourt, you must include the unique Fuel Finder ID (forecourts.site_id). This will ensure that a new forecourt record is not created.
You can add new forecourt details to your account by leaving the forecourts.site_id blank.
Update your template file with new details or new rows and save the file.
