If you are applying for a visa to the UK, from 31 March 2014 you should make your application at the new UK Visa Application Centre operated by commercial partner VFS Global. VFS Global already successfully delivers our UK visa service in Ho Chi Minh City and in most countries across Asia Pacific.

The centre, which is located at the Vinafor Building, 11th Floor, 127 Lo Duc Street, Hai Ba Trung District, Hanoi, will provide customers greater convenience and extended opening hours. The Visa Application Centre will also offer customers access to a range of premium services including a premium lounge, SMS tracking service and internet kiosk.

In Ho Chi Minh City, the Visa Application Centre currently operated by VFS Global, will move from the 4th floor to the better offices on the 2nd Floor of the RESCO Building, 94-96, Nguyen Du Street, Ben Nghe Ward, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City.

Responding to customer feedback, the British Government is delighted to also announce that our successful priority visa service will be extended to all business visitors and students applying under the Tier 4 Points Based System. This service, which provide visas to be processed within three to five days for an additional fee, will be extended from 31 March 2014.

Lesley Craig, Deputy Head of Mission for the British Embassy Hanoi said “The UK wants to keep improving our close ties with Vietnam. The ability of Vietnamese to travel to the UK is an important part of this. I am delighted that we are expanding our premium services in Vietnam; and the opening of the new visa application centre in Hanoi will provide visa applicants with an improved service.“

The application process for visa applications remains the same with decisions being taken by British Government UK Visa and Immigration staff. Further information about our visa service in Vietnam is available on the GOV.UK website.
