Sochi Games enters 100 Days home straight
Only 100 days now to go to the opening of what Russia hopes will be one of the greatest shows on earth.
So the British Olympic and Paralympic teams are gearing up in earnest to represent the nation in the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi.
Some of those involved were taking time off tonight for a celebration at a British Olympic Association Ball in London. But after that their training and wider preparations will go on relentlessly with hopes that there will be a British medal haul heading back home after the February 7-23 Olympics and the March 7-16 Paralympic Games.
The location on Russia’s Black Sea coast, backed by snow-capped mountains, is the world’s first sub-tropical resort to host a Winter Games.
