You are warmly invited to attend a short ceremony in the grounds of the British Embassy on Remembrance Day, Monday 11th November 2013, to remember and pay our respects and gratitude to those who have given their lives in the service of their country. We would very much welcome receiving the names of relatives and friends whom you would particularly wish to remember. All those names received will be announced as part of the act of remembrance and a named poppy will be laid alongside the wreath.

We plan to align our two minutes silence with that which will be conducted in the UK at the 11th Hour on the 11th Day of the 11th Month. Consequently, the two minutes silence will be at 14:00 localtime (11:00 UK time). Therefore, you are invited to arrive at 13:30 ready for a 13:45 start culminating in two minutes silence at 14:00. Refreshments will be served afterwards.

To enable suitable security and catering arrangements to be made, please can you let me know if you wish to attend this year’s Remembrance Day ceremony by contacting the Embassy by E Mail at (MOD.reception@fco.gov.uk) Similarly, should you wish names of the fallen to be announced please provide their details and also send them to us by E Mail (MOD.reception@fco.gov.uk). To enable ease of entry into the Embassy Grounds please ensure you bring photograph identification with you i.e. Residence Permit or Passport.

I look forward to meeting you at the Ceremony.
