Peru’s Healthcare Projects: Overview & Opportunities

On 30 September UKTI and the British Embassy in Peru are organising a webinar to provide information for UK companies about business opportunities in healthcare projects in Peru.

This webinar offers an invaluable opportunity for British life sciences companies to learn about the current projects and opportunities in Peru’s healthcare sector with expert analysis from Mario Hernandez, Head of Projects at the Private Investment Promotion Agency of Peru (Proinversion) and Cecilia Ma, Head of Advisers at the Ministry of Health.

Peruvian government investment in healthcare has increased significantly in the past few years and remains a priority. Now the Ministry of Health has taken the decision to follow the Public Private Partnership (PPP) model for future projects. With four initial projects to be awarded between October 2013 and June 2014, they are committed to increasing this number by showcasing a further pipeline of healthcare projects worth $2.3 billion to be financed through PPP.

As a platform to provide information to private companies, the Ministry of Health is arranging an event called “The Healthcare Road-Show” at the end of November 2013 to assess international expertise that could be draw upon in delivering PPP financed healthcare projects.

This webinar will provide further information for UK companies about business opportunities in healthcare projects ahead of the Road Show in Lima Peru, in late November 2013.
