Mark Garnier visits Mexico
His visit aimed to promote commercial opportunities between the UK and Mexico.

Mark Garnier, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Department for International Trade, visited Mexico City and Monterrey on 13-15 February to promote commercial opportunities between the UK and Mexico.
One of his main activities was a business breakfast held at the British Chamber of Commerce, in which he met with businesses to exchange views on international trade. He also had meetings with the HSBC Mexico Board, FinTech Association Mexico, and Mexican investors.
He also met with Juan Carlos Baker, Under Secretary of Economy and Vanessa Rubio, Under Secretary of Finance and José Antonio González Anaya, PEMEX CEO.
During the visit, he underlined that the UK is open for business and that the aim is to build a Global Britain which will hold a closer relationship with other European countries.
Mr Garnier also emphasised business opportunities that British companies can find in Mexico, such as the recent new airport project in Mexico City, and other opportunities in the automotive, energy, education and financial services sectors.
