Her Majesty extended her deepest sympathies, and those of the people of the United Kingdom, to all those affected by the tragic events in Peshawar on Tuesday.

In addition to the letter from Her Majesty The Queen, the British Prime Minister David Cameron wrote to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. British Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond, International Development Secretary Justine Greening and Home Secretary Theresa May have also written personal letters of condolence to the people of Pakistan. The British Chief of the Defence Staff has written to Pakistan’s Chief of the Army Staff, General Raheel, to express the British Armed Forces’ heartfelt sympathy with the victims of Tuesday’s attack.
