British nationals in Arua are engaged in a range of activities that support Uganda’s development, including in the medical, education and agricultural sectors. The Consul took the opportunity of his visit to find out more about the work the UK is doing in Arua.

Arua is close to the both the DRC and South Sudan borders, and the town and its region have seen an influx of refugees from both countries in recent years, related to conflict and civil unrest on the other side of the border.
