The Week of Women is a joint initiative between the FCO, Wilton Park and Women of the Future focusing on gender equality in business and the public sector.  An event at the FCO in London on 17 November will address global efforts to promote gender equality and the urgency of tackling multiple and intersecting forms of discrimination.  The High Commission in Kampala is participating in this programme of events, including through public discussions on social media to help raise awareness globally of the urgency of creating a more equal world.   The Week of Women provides FCO staff and our partners with an opportunity to reflect on how we are promoting gender equality throughout the world.  The High Commissioner’s event gave influential women working in Kampala a chance to network and share experiences.
