Her Majesty the Queen Congratulates President Lungu on his election victory

Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II has congratulated President Edgar Lungu on his election victory following the 20 January elections.

In a congratulatory message delivered by the British High Commissioner, James Thornton, to Mr Lungu, Her Majesty said;

“I send my warm congratulations to you on your inauguration as President of the Republic of Zambia.

“I send to you and the people of Zambia my best wishes for a peaceful and prosperous future.”
