GREAT Nations’ Cup Race marks start of GREAT Week Hong Kong

The GREAT Nations’ Cup Race today marked an exciting opening to the GREAT Week Hong Kong & Macao (7-13 March) as teams from nations including England, Hong Kong, Wales, Australia, China and France competed for victory. The overall winners were New Zealand with a final corrected time of 2:33:55, holding on to the lead by 16 seconds, with Hong Kong finishing as second nation, ahead of England, Scotland, Netherlands and Singapore in sixth.

The GREAT Week Hong Kong & Macao aims to create outstanding opportunities for UK companies to access international business prospects and meet key decision makers with a special focus on the fashion, luxury and F&B industries. It is an exciting platform promoting the very best UK creative talent, bringing a mission of 35 British companies to Asia to build new relationships and forge new partnerships with businesses in the city.

Other events during the Week include the red carpet GREAT Week Opening Reception on Monday, 10 March, where British designer Matthew Williamson will present a retrospective catwalk show in association with The HUB featuring 16 of his creations from across his career as worn by celebrities including Keira Knightley, Gwyneth Paltrow and Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge. On Wednesday, 12 March, the Michelin starred British chef Jason Atherton, the man behind two restaurants in Hong Kong, will present a showcase of the best of British food and drink.
