Goldsmiths, University of London is world-renowned for excellence in art and design. During a visit of 15 senior representatives of the UK higher education sector to Quito, Goldsmiths signed an agreement with the Universidad de las Artes on Monday 14th September. The agreement was signed by Ramiro Noriega, Director of the Universidad de las Artes and Jane Powell, Deputy Warden at Goldsmiths University, in the presence of British Ambassador Patrick Mullee.

The agreement will promote academic development and student exchanges between the two institutions. It includes academic training and the development of joint research. The agreement will strengthen higher education in both countries and enable more Ecuadorean students to study in the UK, and British students to broaden their artistic skills at the Universidad de las Artes. This is a tangible example of the growing cooperation between the UK and Ecuador in the field of higher education.
