Farewell ‘happy hour’ to celebrate 2016/2017 Chevening scholars

The British Embassy Quito held a ‘happy hour’ to celebrate the 2016/2017 Chevening scholars, who will study for a master’s degree in the UK. A total of 9 outstanding young professionals will follow a variety of postgraduate programmes, such as Economics, Urban Development, International Law and Journalism. They will study in some of the best universities in the UK – and the world – like University College London, University of Manchester, University of Strathclyde and King’s College London.

The Ambassador presented the new scholars with certificates for their Chevening scholarship. Previous generations of scholars also shared the event in the Flying Scotsman restaurant, along with members of the British community resident in Quito.

We wish all our new ‘Cheveners’ success and a wonderful experience in the UK. Now we prepare to welcome last year’s eight scholars who are finalising their studies in the UK and will be back in Ecuador in the coming weeks.
