Energy efficiency programme in Chile receives UK funding

The initiative will support Chile's effort to reduce carbon emissions through energy efficiency and renewable energy.

The UK government is pleased to have contributed £3.5m to a new Chilean programme on energy efficiency and renewable energy announced last month. The programme is funded through the Clean Technology Fund, to which the UK is a significant contributor. The programme will support Chile to reduce carbon emissions through energy efficiency and renewable energy.

Over the last five years, the UK has provided almost £30m to Chile in climate finance, as a key contribution to the UK government objective on supporting the global transition to a low carbon economy.
