Chevening Applicants - Please read this message about references

An important message from Chevening for 2015-2016 applicants
A message was sent on 25 November 2014 GMT to applicants whose references have not been received by the application system.
If you received this message we advise that you do the following:
1) Contact your referees to check if they have received the reference request email. If they have not, then the referee’s email address may not be entered correctly on the application form. Please note that mistakes can include added full stops and spaces. You can edit the referee contact details on your application form and provide an alternative email address by logging back in to the application system. Remember to save the changes. If the email address is recognised, the reference request email should be sent out. If referees continue to experience difficulties with receiving reference emails, please advise them to email email@example.com.
2) Check that your referees have submitted their references in accordance with the instructions provided in the reference request email. Referees should reply directly to the email received, without cutting and pasting the email address or sending from an email address other than the one you registered in your application. They must either write or paste the reference text into the main email. Attachments will not be recognised by the application system.
If referees continue to experience difficulties with sending reference emails, please advise them to resend their reference cc’ing firstname.lastname@example.org. When emailing email@example.com please note that the subject line must be personalised for you, and should read « SCHOLAR NAME from COUNTRY NAME, LOGIN EMAIL ADDRESS ». Referees must also send this email with the same email address you have uploaded to your application, otherwise it will be rejected as we cannot guarantee its authenticity. Once two references are successfully received, you (the applicant) will receive an automated confirmation email that the system has received them.
If your references are sent to firstname.lastname@example.org, you will receive a manual confirmation that they have been received from Chevening.
