The British Embassy Yerevan calls for project bids under the FCO’s Programme Fund.
The British Embassy Yerevan has now opened its call for project bids under the FCO’s Programme Fund. We are looking for projects that can be carried out during the financial year 2017/18. The Embassy is interested in supporting innovative proposals that work in any of the following themes:
Support to the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI) to promote open and accountable management of revenues from natural resources in Armenia as well as support an improved business climate, increased investor confidence, reduced corruption and poverty and enhanced living standards of population in resource rich Armenia: The UK is campaigning to raise citizens’ awareness on mining legislation, on companies operating in their regions, on importance of EITI, the tasks and principles of the EITI and how it contributes to increasing transparency and accountability in the mining sector. The total funding requested for bids should be within the following limits: minimum limit: GBP 15,000, maximum limit: GBP 30,000. More information can be found below.
Enhanced transparency in the mining sector: The UK Government is committed to enhancing transparency and accountability in the award of mining sector permits, licenses and contracts. We want to focus on enhancing the effectiveness of the mining sector regulation, improving level playing field for the mining industry through better governance and corruption control systems, strengthening engagement of CSOs and communities affected by mining operations in the multi-stakeholder dialogue and enhancing relations between mining companies and their stakeholders and beneficiaries for improved social investment. The total funding requested for bids should be within the following limit: GBP 10,000. More information can be found here.
We invite project proposals of up to twelve months duration (April 2017 to March 2018). Projects must have a clear purpose supported by achievable and measurable outputs (eg events and reports) and outcomes (change that is beyond the control of the project implementer) and should deliver value for money (VfM). Please keep proposals as concise as possible and present the purpose of the project as the benefit which you expect to result from the project activities. Successful bids must demonstrate strong strategic relevance to the areas of programme focus and have a clear focus on delivering change and sustainability. Project impact should last beyond the life of the project itself. Proposals should take into consideration the gender sensitivity, aimed to complete 90% of activities by the end of December 2017.
Bidders should fill in the standard Project Proposal Form and include a breakdown of project costs in the Budget Form. We will not consider proposals submitted in other formats. Budgets must be Activity Based Budgets. Template forms and further guidance are available below.
Proposals should be sent to the British Embassy Yerevan at email@example.com by 18.00 (Yerevan time) on 31 March 2017. Post Project Board will evaluate proposals by the end of April the latest.
