With Maïtena Biraben – journalist from Canal+ - as moderator, the debate will tackle the challenges which face women in France, such as professional equality and domestic violence, but also further afield in zones of conflict where sexual violence has even become a tool in warfare. On that subject, the British Foreign Secretary William Hague has launched the “Preventing Sexual Violence Initiative” in zones of conflict, which is a priority for the UK’s G8 presidency agenda.

We will look at the role of business in this: What can companies do to help the female cause? Is it for companies to do this? So many questions to ask our panelists:

  • Véronique Moralli, President of the Women’s Forum for the Economy and Society, Founder of ‘Terrafemina’ TFCo & ‘Force femmes’.
  • Noëlle Lenoir, former Minister, lawyer and ‘Conseiller d’Etat’
  • Siän Herbert-Jones, Financial Director at Sodexo
