British Embassy hosts debate to mark International Women's Day 2013
To mark Women’s Day, the Embassy is holding a debate on “Women & Corporate Social Responsibility: what role for business?” on 5 March.
International Women's Day 2013 debate in Paris
With Maïtena Biraben – journalist from Canal+ - as moderator, the debate will tackle the challenges which face women in France, such as professional equality and domestic violence, but also further afield in zones of conflict where sexual violence has even become a tool in warfare. On that subject, the British Foreign Secretary William Hague has launched the “Preventing Sexual Violence Initiative” in zones of conflict, which is a priority for the UK’s G8 presidency agenda.
We will look at the role of business in this: What can companies do to help the female cause? Is it for companies to do this? So many questions to ask our panelists:
